Please don't print for anyone in the United States. It will be my luck that I'll get the customer asking me to match colors.

    Ijet color 1175

You are referring to iJet as if it is 1 printer when in fact it is a brand. It would be like saying my Ford uses too much fuel and is not profitable to operate. The 1175P will hands down out print anything toner based in productivity. Our experience with a Xante EnPress and iJet 1175P is the...

    GRAPHTEC FC 9000 Marks Trouble

I know this is old and me have been solved, but in a pinch try putting scotch tape over the marks to reduce the glare. That has worked for us about 70% of the time as long as the marks are correct to begin with.

    Bulk Mail Strapping Machine

I told my SCF clerk to piss off when they threatened to ding my scorecard. As much as they f%ck up they don't need to worry about my scorecard. Every time we pick up mail trays we have to check for mail they forgot to remove. I can't tell you how many bills, statements and college letters we...

Help needed - Lost Fiery API license after installing Color Profile Suite

I'm guessing you will need to put in a support ticket with EFI, but good luck if you don't have a support. I wonder if it had more to do with updating Command Workstation than Color Profiler. You may be better off getting VDP software and not relying on Fiery for it.

    Duplo In-Line Folder

We have one on a DC648. It doesn't fold anything less than 100lb gloss text reliably so don't get it for a primary folder. Works great with cover weights and 100lb gloss text though. Just know the limitations and don't listen to the sales monkey.

    Envelope printer

The real question I didn't see an answer to is your print volume. How many envelopes a month are you printing? Less than 50,000 a toner device will be sufficient. Over 50,000 you should start looking into inkjet and over 100,000 something in line with and iJetColor 1175 Pro.

usps error... mailed to return address

Line up your mail piece with the bottom right marking and see if your return address falls in the yellow OCR zone. If it does then tuff luck, the USPS scanners pick up the first address they read in that area. We had that happen to a mailer we did for a church. Their design and I told them there...

    Best PDF for digital printing

You must not deal with the general public. Most don't even know what a PDF is. I can imagine all the extra work we would be doing for the client by specifying PDF/X-4. "Why do you need that? Joe Blow down the street prints from our jpeg's, why can't you?" "How do I make that in Canva?"

    Ijet color 1175

Running a corner copy on a 9x12 now that has a solid 1.5"x3.25" rectangle with the type in reverse and it's running at $8.55/M. That includes the ink head and ink costs. We are on our original head with 4.5 million on it.

    Ijet color 1175

Inkjet vs laser, no surprise there! Now talk productivity, the 1175P will blow the doors off the Oki. We went from Xante to 1175P and have well over 4 million without a single complaint.

Looking for a more versatile large format flat bed

There are UV transfer options for hard surface products as well. They don't require heat either. The ones I have seen seem pretty durable, but you need varnish on the flatbed.

Best folder to use with digitally printed material

We are getting a Duplo 648 with a DC Inline folder. It will be for the less than a few thousand jobs. Right now we have a Baum 2020 with an 8 page and a bunch of tri-creasers to handle scoring inline. Full coverage with very, very little cracking and that's only on the darkest colors.

That explains why they didn't want to pick up my 1000i that was end of contract!

Machine Identification Code ruining my prints.

Have a conversation with the Dept. of Treasury for that. They mandate the serial number be printed.

    Printers Plan and customer data

LOL, former busted dumbass landscaper myself, so I know the feeling! PP is quite expensive and Odyssey isn't much better cost wise. Not sure about making your own, but I have heard people have some elaborate Excel files. PP is actually an Access database system at heart.

    Ricoh B/W Digital Presses

We have a 6136 with about 13 million on it and the service between PM's is getting closer and more frequent. Image quality takes a dump fast and the pressure rollers tend to delaminate quick. We have an 8200 that has about 4.5 million and it has about 1/2 the service calls and we run a lot of...

RISO 7150 Service Menu / Unlock Front Doors

Thin piece of metal run up and down between the doors will trip the lock and the doors will open. It's a little lower than half way if I recall.
