Xerox Profico PX500 or Fuji Revoria EC2100

I have a fuji ec1100 - basically a xerox 4100 and generally love it with all normal problems with btrs etc. Fuji service is great and when reporting a problems I stay away from the phone line as the call centre where ever they are based are useless and just email the uk service and they sort...

Xerox -v- Fuji Quality of Service (UK)

Hi. No problems sharing at all. We got it through JetTech, they not fuji direct but are fuji adjacent! Toner etc is ordered through them and I get a pallet delivered every month if required. Faults go to fuji direct. I do wish I held off for 6 months as the new machines have come out which...

Xerox -v- Fuji Quality of Service (UK)

Im on 2.5p per click colour which compares well to what xerox were charging and I got what I consider a good deal on the machine as they are trying hard to get xerox machines out.

Xerox -v- Fuji Quality of Service (UK)

I have a fuji ec1100 and have had so far excellent service. I dont have any engineers near me (xerox were the same) so I am next day service but they are there 9am and dont leave until its resolved. No problem with spares etc and if it requires a call back due to something broken its always on...

    New mis software

Cheers. I did actually look at printers plan but their lack of prices transparency put me right off. Even if they do not give an actual price on the website its not difficult to put a base price up and then say that add on modules are charged extra. Rightly or wrongly that absolutely drives...

    New mis software

After spending what feels like hours reading why x y and z are the best choices and not really learning anything, me and chatgpt have had a cosy few hours and are in the throws of creating something.

    New mis software

This is the problem though isnt it. already you are looking at at least 2 different systems, so are you going to replace one set of problems with another (plus the learning curve that goes with it) Forgetting square integration for the moment - you would think there is a market for a focused...

    New mis software

I totally agree on the pricing aspect - just give me a ball park its all I ask that way I know I am not wasting your time by enquiring. The main things I need is 1. Strong CRM so contacting customer/potential customers is easy 2. Quoting from a range of pre-configured items eg 500 business...

    New mis software

Hi. In the new year I want to try and get to grips with the email/trello/hodgepodge message of a system we have in place. It works but we miss oit on jobs because we are not following up on a quote or a job goes wrong because not all of the correct information is on trello. We are a small...

    NCR Book Making Techniques

We just do tape on the spine, couple of different colours depending on the customer. Some get a basic cover and greyboard insert and others get a wrap around cover again depending on the customer.

    Socbox 7000s

Hi. I aquired this perforator/numbering machine for not very much money and considering our perforator is currently hand fed this is quite an upgrade! However I am struggling to find any information about the machine such as a manual and I cant find any spares - we specifically need an extra...

Does anyone use AI within the Print Industry

So, I asked for a programme made in python because once its made I can go in and make minor edits and muddle my way through it. But you tell it what you want and it just does it. The best way I found to do it was, spend a couple of hours creating a "spec" document of exactly what I wanted and...

Does anyone use AI within the Print Industry

ChatGPT tell it what you want do and tell it to create a programme to do. I find it amazing and I have created a couple of programmes for estimating and print set up that would either cost a fortune in development cost or a fortune in subscription costs, plus it has the advantage of being...

    Versant 3100 / 4100 or Iridesse

Well i had the entire housing and everything replaced and it solved the dog earing on 90gsm but the ncr is as bad as ever which is very frustrating. I will just keep on at the engineer because it's not even a year old and it used to be perfect so.something has changed.

    Versant 3100 / 4100 or Iridesse

I don't know if this helps you, but my engineer has been here for most of the day trying to locate where the paper is dog earing and he has narrowed it down to the decurler module inside the machine. He thinks it's been tweeked slightly and just catching every now and again. He is around 90%...

    Versant 3100 / 4100 or Iridesse

It's currently reacto but it still happened on the xerox stuff as well. The engineer was certain it was caused by us sending the job to the stacker and not the top tray despite the first 20k of ncr we did when the machine was days old ran perfectly. It's just started to happen on standard...

    Versant 3100 / 4100 or Iridesse

We print ncr on a fujifilm EC1100 which is the 4100. It was perfect running through the airfed drawers and onto the stacker but recently we are getting dog ears and then jamming inside the finisher. Escalated to second line support to see what the score is.

Errors when processing / ripping PDF

Thanks for all the additional replies. I managed to fix the pdf with ghostscript as suggested above. Just by chance when flicking through the print i came across one of the corrupt pages and on checking the original version it was exactly the same so I am confident that the final version was...

Errors when processing / ripping PDF

Well, "printing as image" seemed to work until right at the end it gave an generic error that just said that it had encountered errors and I should go back to the source of the document however it did seem to create the PDF ok and to my eyes looked fine. I gave Ghostscript a try and that just...

Errors when processing / ripping PDF

Very good point actually. I will check the preflight against the printed pages. I know that the document printed with no errors so I'm hopeful it will be OK if I cant get it through the proper printer. Thanks
