Tariffs - Have they, or, will they impact your business?

If that happens, will you pass that increase to your customers, or, just absorb it yourself?

Tariffs - Have they, or, will they impact your business?

I wonder if any of you have had strategy meetings about this with your respective companies? Will you put off needed purchases because of an uncertain financial future? Pull the trigger now and purchase what you think you will need before the tariffs kick in? For those of you in the US that...

Tariffs - Have they, or, will they impact your business?

I remember a couple of years ago, everyone had issues getting toner and consumables because they were stuck in containers on cargo ships offshore. Therefore, I'm assuming they are imported from other countries. I wonder what effect that will have on already contracted click charges. Will the...

No worries. A Federal Judge just ruled that Art has to be rehired. All is well........

    What is print?

I can associate. Art and I were relevant a long time ago. We both got old. At least I retired before they could fire me. I feel bad for Art, though.

Have they, or, will the tariffs impact your business?

During the first term (2016 - 2020) his tariffs cost us a lot of business revenue. We had several large accounts wherein we would print and mail booklets/catalogs of equipment and repair parts for that equipment. Most of that equipment and parts were being imported from Canada or China. When...

    Techs/operators of Pitney Bowes inserters

The major difference is the way the material feeds. B&H or Phillipsburg inserters (also known as "swing-arm" inserters) feed primarily by air suction (suckers attach to the bottom of a piece and pull it down where the swing arm grabs it and drops it on to a path combined with other pieces that...

    At the Print Equipment Auction

Well, off the top of my head, I'd say a lack of personnel. You don't have a business transformation associate, an advanced business development specialist, a prepress solutions match-maker, OR a vendor/client interface facilitator. (see Gordo's "Evolution Of Sales" on 2/9/2025)

    Overtime: Imaging technology oddities

Yep. One of them tried to kill me once. Back in the day, anyone who had anything to do with computers (systems design, programmers, operators, field service technicians, etc) had to wear shirt and ties, As I was leaning over, changing the paper, my tie got rolled up in the sheet ribbon. Grabbed...

    Overtime: Imaging technology oddities

Way back in the day, when the computer printers we used were "Impact/Belt" printers, I recall seeing a large portrait of DaVinci's The Last Supper all done with character print and over print like a large bitmap. It was awesome. I researched on the internet, but, couldn't find an example.
