    Striped halftone printing

There is nothing wrong with your pdf. But i've got a question — why did your printer choose line halftone pattern instead of e.g. circle dot?

Everybody Happy ☺ With Their Printing Ink ?!?!

Nope. We're not happy. I just need to say it loud - HUBER SUCKS!

Linerize or not to Linerize plates... that is the question

My 5 cents — if you have 2 or more CTPs with process plates and you want the output to be exactly the same then you should go 2 curves way. If you have one CTP i would suggest 1 curve way if you take good care of your plate processor. In our printshop for example we have 2 magnus vlf with...

Preps for perfect bound book, no bleed on the inside

For standard layout odd pages will always have spine on the left, even on the right. When you set your bleed values at the front they automatically applies to the back

Preps for perfect bound book, no bleed on the inside

That's not true. You can manually set any bleed for page in preps 5.3 and any preps. And preps do not use bleed box - only trimbox.

    Fascile sewing

Thanks, Gordo! That's what we've decided to do. Btw i've found that one printshop in europe describe their multiplex sa with "1000 facicles per hour", though neither our multiplex manual nor meccanotecnica catalog use this term

    Fascile sewing

That's funny, thanks. But I think I made it clear in the first post - that's what customer wrote in specification. Don't you think I made it up?

    Fascile sewing

Aha, so this term is for hand sewing, right? And for machine sewing this can be same as smyth sewing maybe?

    Fascile sewing

We've got a specification for book and in postpress section we've found this term — fascicle sewing. Do anyone know what this is? I've ran through PIA books and didn't find any term like this.

FOGRA39 compliance on press and or proofing papers darker than expected white point

Substrate corrected printing is your answer. You should take fogra39 charset, recalculate it to new white point, create ICC profile from that new set, put this profile in your proofing software and print your proof. You will need real paper white lab value for that. if the press you're talking...

PIA’s 2018 State of the Industry Report

Don't get me wrong, but any article referring Ayn Rand should be put in trashcan in the first place. As for you i suggest you google the phrase "External locus of control". You can start from attached document, then move to the Wikipedia.

PIA’s 2018 State of the Industry Report

In Russia I see the print mindset is doing the same thing over and over hoping to get different result: "maybe this time it will work". Which is actually a schizophrenia symtom btw. Imagine that: whole industry in a permanent psychosis.

Excessive dot gain (or other) - please give me the advice!

Alois, I know your post wasn't adressed to me. But. We're all in the same boat, right? As far as I remember, gordo and Erik Nikkanen suggested that the problem is "dot bridging". Personally i've heard about this print defect only regards to flexographic printing. But they made their point...

Alois, i've detected once again that you didn't answer the question. Instead you stating obvious statements and answering to I dunno who.

Any "chemically enriched F.S." or you're referring to any particular fs? And BTW, suppose i'm adding 9.5% will that count?
