Printing Blankets for ManRoland 700, 900

Alois, my dear friend! Where have you saw Hardwork? Pushing keys (on keyboard) is not a work at all! Compressible it is, right. But what about surface? Cast, buffed, ground, microground? What about feeding characteristics? What about Roughness, if you know what i mean 😉

Printing Blankets for ManRoland 700, 900

Which blankets do you use for ManRoland 700 or 900? What manufacturer and what tensile streght?

Coming Soon! Workflow without the work!

Soooo, you have nothing but silly video and "holy grail" marketing strategy? Do you know what year it is? An annoying tip for you - it's not 2005.

    "white base: absolute" ?

Come on, white base refers only to density measurements. No mistery, no speculation. And it just doesn't matter in terms of Lab values or deltaE measurements

    "white base: absolute" ?

If you measure density between two patches on differently colored substrate resulting density value will include substrate density in it if you use absolute white base and will not if you use relative. That's why i don't see sense in including this parameter in deltaE measurement condition

    "white base: absolute" ?

That's part of measurement condition. White base can be relative to paper or absolute to white calibration plate. Strange to see it with deltaE. It actually matters if one measure density

What is your standard of registration tolerance between C-M-Y-K?

0.3 mm is way to much for sheetfed/webfed offset. Maybe in screen printing that'll do, but in offset 0.3 mm off register will result in very poor image definition. IMHO for format up to 1000x1400 mm 0.1 mm register variation is a max. If one cannot achieve that — then there is something wrong...

PRINT CONTROLLERS & APPE (PDF PRINT ENGINE) 5.0?

Sounds like it's an architectural question. As far as I remember v5 appe use x64 and previous up to 4.7 were x32

You mean it was announced 2.5 years ago, right?

Exothermic reaction after printing (old songs about the main thing)

Yepp, i've seen too, but these are different problems. If you see these right in the delivery, then there should be other factors like inappropriate use of ir-light, lack of powder or wrong size, exaggerated ink densities, too much fointain or too much area coverage - legions of factors btw. But...

Exothermic reaction after printing (old songs about the main thing)

@turbotom1052 , in case you're not mixing terms set-off and actual blocking, i believe you're talking about different problem. @Tatyana referres to radical oxidation with probably reverse polimerization after printing in terms of days, not right after printing. Winding is helpful against gloss...

Exothermic reaction after printing (old songs about the main thing)

I am for sure do not think that way. In fogra reports on ghosting btw they didn't mention significant temperature rise anyway

Exothermic reaction after printing (old songs about the main thing)

How so? If one have a pile of blocked sheets the least one should be worried for is ghosting

Exothermic reaction after printing (old songs about the main thing)

Well of course it's chemical reaction - oxidation to be particular. The main idea is something makes the reactiom more aggressive in one cases (say next morning after printing pile temperature already around 40 c), or if paper is thick and pile is high, then the heat generated from...

You know it's just simple xml inside, right? On x-rite site one can download schema and documentation for it. But if you need specific old software you can always use virtual machine :)

    Stora Enso Classic Paper

Can anyone explain me what exactly " coated mechanical book paper" (as stated in TDS, in other place they call it "pigmentized mechanical paper") means? I know LWC, MWC, coated, uncoated, even WFC and WFU. But what is pigmentized mechanical? Is it a modern LWC name?

    Web offset inks

Hello Alois That's the whole point of topic. I've googled it as soon as i got that response from mixing station. Thought maybe i'm out of my mind and it's time to retire

    Web offset inks

Our local ink mixing station claims that there are "no metallic ink for heatset and coldset printing and never was". I know 100% there are metallic inks for letterpress, gravure, flexo... you name it I am kinda embarrassed, and have a question for biggest printing community on the web — Is that...
