At the opposite end of the range, we've had the DBM-150T for about 4 years and it's been a good machine. No complaints or gripes.

    PF-812 Konica Minolta Banner Feeder

a useful optional accessory (no KM Part number) is a piece of high density upholstery foam to support the exit tray on the relay unit, which can get heavy. In our case this tray doubles up as somewhere to leave 'both sides adjust' output and other random stock when not being used for it's...

    PF-812 Konica Minolta Banner Feeder

Adam, welcome to the forum Presumably you're on a click contract as you have a serious piece of kit there in the C14000 Be that the case, you'll need a new PF supplied by your provider. Otherwise, everything that ever goes wrong in the future will be the fault of the paper deck you sourced...

    KM TN-014 vs TN-015 toner

KM recently discontinued TN-015 toner, which we use in our Pro951 B/W machine and our dealer can no longer source this new. They are currently decanting TN-014 into empty TN-015 bottles for us, we know this works as both use the same developer and we used decanted TN-014 for a few months after...

Help setting up a Duplo DFC-120 collator & DBM-120 bookletmaker

Hi Simon - if you're 100% certain Mike at SPFS doesn't work on Duplo, then next try Alex Styles at PDC. They're in Perivale so not too far away. But always contact Mike SPFS for your Duplo staples, he gave us better pricing than ordering direct on our Duplo account, last month.

Buying Ricoh Pro Press and Guillotine Cutter

No surprise there about the Chinese cutter. I'd be more scared of the safeties failing on it TBH. We have an Ideal 4850-95EP programmable SRA2 cutter with an electric clamp which has been great, a very accurate compact machine, with both coated and uncoated stocks If we had the space, a Polar...

Buying Ricoh Pro Press and Guillotine Cutter

Your Reasoning? For the smaller width guillotines you're looking at, there are some very capable electric clamp models. I totally understand the reasoning for hydraulic on wider cutters.

    Replacement for Xerox versant 180?

Hi Nik and welcome to the forum, you'll find loads of useful information here. The actual make and model of digital press you acquire is one of the least important points. The key factors to consider are service provision and cost per click. Machines at the entry level from the big four...

    Konica Minolta Envelope Printing

Just the envelope setting which runs at half speed When we first ran envelopes we didn't use the envelope setting and experienced the creasing described in this thread Bear in mind the engine & fuser are different on the C12000/C14000 to the C4070/C4080

    Konica Minolta Envelope Printing

We run many thousands of C5 100GSM closed flap on the C4080 with the regular fuser and so far, it’s not skipped a beat. Also many C6 banker envelopes, which concerned me as they have to be fed short edge to achieve minimum length, again no problems

what happens if you use the regular fuser?

    Konica Minolta Envelope Printing

Have you tried stock from a different batch? Could be some small difference like different glue under that flap to what you've had before Have you tried using the regular fuser on envelope setting? Envelopes can be fickle - we print many C6 envelopes and notice output variations from one batch...

Bought a new (to me) DPX 2, I can no longer print direct from InDesign. I have questions

Most soft copy approval processes are PDF driven too, making printing from the same PDF your client has approved the safest way to avoid anything altering.

Bought a new (to me) DPX 2, I can no longer print direct from InDesign. I have questions

@keith1 - that's not what I'm saying. I indicated receiving or being offered a bundled InDesign package was good, not a PDF with every conceivable mark and colour bar on it !

Bought a new (to me) DPX 2, I can no longer print direct from InDesign. I have questions

An InDesign package is preferable. When received/offered, always a great indication the designer knows their stuff and everything's gonna be good

Bought a new (to me) DPX 2, I can no longer print direct from InDesign. I have questions

Typically one would export a PDF from InDesign with the Printer's Marks of your choice selected (as below) I've never printed direct from InDesign, I can't think off the top of my head why anyone would want to do that TBH
