Folding A4 saddle stitched booklet to DL. Can it be done?

Hey Si, I hand feed these into my Morgana Digifold creaser folder. Doesn't do an amazing job but good enough.

Digital over runs. What do you do?

Have just moved factories in the last week and tried that in with installation of a new Revoria. Moving.... I don't rate it. Ahhhhh that's a bummer. Maybe when you're opening the jobs have them write up a simple digital job sheet where they need to factor in the copies required, number up and...

Digital over runs. What do you do?

Hey Si, We'd just wear it and remind the staff member to be more careful. We seem to have the same learning exp with all staff as to whether something is single or double sided. 2500 letters printed double sided that were meant to be single Not so fun. If it's on a decent card stock you can...

    creasing on Versant 280

We have the same problem on Condat Gloss 115gsm on our Iridesse and Versant 2100. Assumed it was just too thin to run. To fix on the Iridesse we back off the fuser temp and pressure roller. Assume you can do same on Versant.

    Adding Print and Mail?

That is a really bloody good idea. Hopefully we see it come into play.

    Iridesse to Ricoh/Konica

Yeah the Versant is pretty good with envelopes. They are taking it out as Fuji has a 10 year life on their machine and are are claiming and can no longer service it. The 180 will be an ex-lease unit and included at very little cost - which begs the questions, why doesn't my Iridesse which is...

    Iridesse to Ricoh/Konica

Thanks for the great reply. If we switched, my plan was to initially go with the Ricoh and if really needed add the KM. The Iridesse is a great machine and the 6 colours makes specialty colour work really easy but the lease payments are just too much for my volume. What Xerox presses did you...

    Iridesse to Ricoh/Konica

Hey Printers! My Iridesse and Versant 2100 and coming end of lease. Would keep but Fuji are asking an exorbitant amount to keep for another term. Sadly I didn't consider a lease to own or $1 buy out at the beginning as historically we haven't had a press worth anything after 5 years. We're...

    Ijet color 1175

The 1175 looks interesting. Do you have a rough price for it? Hopefully substantially less than the 1175 Pro.

    Pamphlet/Booklet/Book Layout Software

Nah, Imposition Wizard is much easier. I felt with Imposition Studio the need for templates is big. With Wizard I don't bother. Super easy.

Good or bad idea in my situation? (Only selling posters with mounts/mattes)

Not what you have asked but for jobs where I know I have a tricky border to hit and it's short run I chuck it on my digital die cutter. It reads registration marks and the cut is generally bang on. You could probably get away with the Auto sheet cutters I know of some similar machines that...

    Opinions on Digital Die-Cutters

I've got a JWEI LST 0806 which is what the Duplo sheet fed cutter is based on but direct from manufacturer. It's pretty darn good. Unattended running for labels just checking the odd sheet. Diecutting is a bit different due to the less than ideal output. We still outsource longer runs to a...

    Upgrading from the Xerox V180.

We have the inline booklet maker on the Iridesse for full bleed booklets. For the additional that we pay for it I would have rather put that money towards a new (reliable) little booklet maker where your top/bottom trims are on guillotine. The biggest reason is the slitting wheels cracking the...
