Definitely not as robust as Adobe's software and not something I would use for live jobs personally. If I was looking for bang for your buck software for home use I would go with Affinity simply because there is no subscription and the software is feature rich and runs very fast.

What issues is he having with his CC subscription? I have found it to be pretty stable, no less stable then pre-CC.

You could look at the Affinity software, they have their own versions of Indesign = Publisher, Illustrator = Designer, and Photoshop = Photo. They are nice apps and cheap with one time purchase, no subscriptions. They also run very fast and are feature rich doing most things Adobe's software can do.

Should work with all Mac OS's up to Catalina which will be coming out in September. Catalina will not run 32 bit apps, so Indesign CS6 is done. I think Photoshop CS6 was a 64 bit app and possibly Illustrator, but could be wrong on that.

Can't you just save to archive in Command Workstation? I do not have anything as big as what you are doing but I do have to print some tabs now and then on their own. I saved a file I made for tabs and when I need it I just go to the archived file, adjust if needed and everything else is set.

If it is crooked it can rub against the side and not roll up properly. I always follow it down when pulling the pin out and make sure everything looks ok.

I have found the pull up banners we use to be reasonably forgiving. Did you use a template made for your hardware? I got templates for the different pull up stands we use and just follow them, never have an issue.

Not sure what the private data is. When I edit a placed file in Indesign I edit it from the original program it was made, so I edit in Illustrator for .ai files and if it is just a PDF I was given I edit in Acrobat if it allows it.

What can happen when placing an .ai file in InDesign? I have been doing that for years and never had an issue.

I use the 2 sided tape that comes with it and then for added protection I just take packing tape and run a strip over it. Never had any issues. I basically do what this guys does in this video with the exception of the top part, I just put the bar on the edge and let it clamp down.
