    Inverted angles in Harlequin

I worked at a place in the late eighties that used frames from Germany that had the light source coming from below. An arm pulled an opaque black cloth over the flats and sucked them down before exposing-that took a while to get used to. Back then strippers were wizards and were paid...

    Inverted angles in Harlequin

These 2 angles are pretty much interchangeable. You can swap if there is a moire issue.

The case against the EPS file.

I agree with Kyle. To prove it call the spot Yellow "Yelo" and Black "blk". You could try a multichannel .psd. Keep in mind you can leave the file in CMYK mode, just add the spot colors after the K.

The case against the EPS file.

Save it as a tiff and be sure to select the spot color check box-I use it all the time-works like a champ.

    Customers without 5k lighting

We had a client who would only view the proofs in the parking lot with his car trunk lid open. He liked the way the trunk light illuminated the proof-even though it was a sunny afternoon. He requested a - 1% yellow move. Swear to God. If all goods and services were held to the scrutiny we give...

    Dot gain compensation curves

If you have an image that is printing heavy or dark, is there a benefit to using a DGC at the RIP rather than just lightening the file in Photoshop? It seems the same to me--am I missing something?

    Anyone still use film?

DuaneBryant-Judging from the responses we are a rare breed indeed. Your observations are spot on regarding inkjet.

    Anyone still use film?

We still use film for the industrial graphics silk screen process. We haven't found any method that has the quality, resolution and repeatability of good old film. Our Barco megasetter is getting long in the tooth though, and with Esko ending their support for that unit as of 1/1/17 we have been...

    calling all Esko wizards

I have a large group of honeycomb contours and I need to "bend" just an edge of them. Is there a way to do this in PackEdge? I only have to go .008" in a certain area.

    Illustrator gradients

You can do it in Esko PackEdge color factory-just add the spot colors and you have a swatch comprised of all of them-very handy.
