    Konica Minolta LU-208XL and SD-513

Yes, even if you weren’t using them, every sheet passes through the slitters. They would mechanically open and close per sheet based on sheet size. If it didn’t quite open enough, it would cut off pieces of your sheets / envelopes and or jam. It was as I said, a poor design. And when you do...

KM AccurioPress C4070 or Ricoh ProC5300S or Canon Imagepress v700 or Fujifilm ApeosPro C650

I don’t think the models being due for a successor is of much consequence…indeed the KM rep tried to hold this against the Ricoh 7210 we eventually settled on…it was still I think another 2 years before Ricoh put out the 7500 and as far as I can tell not really a major difference. I 100% prefer...

    Konica Minolta LU-208XL and SD-513

I had an SD513 attached to a KM6085 (no longer here), and it was the worse part of an entirely bad machine…not recommended. Never did a consistent / quality job, jammed a lot, every sheet of the machine ran through it even though you weren’t using it..which is a problem when the unit is having...

Is the Ricoh Pro C7500 comparable to the Versant 4100?

I am in the United States, and we have a service contract with Ricoh direct on this machine. They have been great, though honestly don’t see the tech very much. Maybe every 6-8 weeks.

Is the Ricoh Pro C7500 comparable to the Versant 4100?

I love our 7210, installed 3 years ago this month, has been a zero regret purchase…had a KM before, and I had all Xerox at my old job…this stomps everything I’ve had in terms of consistency, quality, and reliability. I don’t put much value in the 5th color capability. We have used it a handful...

Versant 280 Alignment Range, specifically skew

I don’t have any Xerox equipment anymore but I used to battle this with a J75 so ought to be somewhat similar. We found something misaligned from the feeding section, as well as an issue with the scanner (assuming that is how the SIQA is being input on your machine)…once those were corrected it...

    humidity

I have a single aircare unit like above in my smallish print room with a Ricoh 7210 and other stuff. It is adequate for us.

    Ricoh 8320 toner issues

If you are legitimately going through supplies then your sales rep should have no problems adjusting your inventory threshold to compensate. I have a 7210, have no issues with supplies. Sometimes the online system will kick back asking me why I need what I ordered, and I’ll say why and the...

    Konica Minolta's IQ-501

Used to have this issue constantly on the KM we had. What a piss poor design.

    Konica Minolta's IQ-501

It sounds to me like perhaps the machine’s speed is varying slightly while imaging. Is it off differently per sheet, does it change if you run simplex vs duplex, is there a pattern to the variance? I used to have a test pattern I made several years ago that was basically a fine grid across...

    Konica Minolta's IQ-501

I second the accuracy of your paper comment. I don’t have a KM machine anymore but the IQ was always squirrelly for me. I did end up back trimming certain papers to like 12.8x18.8 and making new profiles, this helped on stock that varied, but some papers were still a challenge every day...

    Upgrade advice - 300 to 350gsm Silk Coated SRA3 - 5000+ prints per month

I would price buying or leasing a single small but more production oriented machine, with service and supplies included vs having one or multiple office printers and buying supplies for this… set up some demos with your paper and jobs with competitive brands to see if it meets your...

Ricoh C7200x paper catalog number order?

From the hold queue? Yes I’ll delete files after it’s been shipped. From the printed queue? That is configured to only hold the last 10 files so it’s automatically clearing itself. I only use the archive queue for one specific job so that’s all that sits in the archived queue.

Ricoh C7200x paper catalog number order?

No, that’s not necessary for my workflow. Most jobs are only printed once.

Ricoh C7200x paper catalog number order?

Yes? I make adjustments to my papers as needed. But maybe I use the Fiery different than everyone else does? I don’t use it to recall reprint jobs.

Ricoh C7200x paper catalog number order?

On the printer, select your number 8 entry, act like you’re making a change like size / paper type until it gives you the “red asterisk of change”, and then when it prompts you to save, select arbitrary location / add new instead of overwrite, save it in position 1.

    Ricoh Pro C7500 vs C7200X

Our 7210 just runs and occasionally asks for user replaceable parts. Might see our actual tech every 4-6 weeks, usually just so he can rebuild said parts. It’s our only printer so reliability is a major measurement of how I select machines. This is with Ricoh direct, replaced a very...

    Xerox Versant envelope double feeding

When I had Xerox machines I made jigs out of chipboard for each envelope size to assist with feeding. Air fed drawers work much better at preventing double feeding, does your printer not have any air fed drawers? I’m assuming that tray is friction fed.

    Copy Job Cost and Pricing...

I love not being a walk-in shop, our minimum charge is much higher than that and while we charge fairly we never chase folks down the lowest price rabbit hole. Nobody has time for a $20 or $50 job, I don’t care how insignificant the actual work is it’s never worth it IMHO.
