    Motor for Morgana Creaser

Skip Morgana and go directly to the manufacture, Astrosyn. If they don't have a replacement ask for the technical specifications of the motor and search online with those specifications. You will also find some companies that will repair motors, maybe not in your area or country but they are out...

Canon V900 frequently pausing while "adjustment" is being made

It's been years since I had the C810 here, but there was a service setting to extend this "adjusting" from the every 30 sheets to a higher page count. They told me it could affect quality but I never did see that happen. Not sure if it will work on the V900 but worth asking.

Affinity Update: It's now FREEmium...and more

I doubt that Canva has a vision of proving and constantly updating Affinity for free without having a solid plan to extract more revenue. With the collaboration of Canva and HP print service providers, you can expect Canva to become an even more competitive print provider that will affect every...

Which Paper Cutter to Buy? Chinese Hydraulic or Indian Semi Automatic

I don’t have any experience with either one of these but, I would buy the brand that is most used and serviced in your area/region. A few years ago I bought a Chinese made corner rounder and it works great, but it doesn’t have any electronics on it like a programmable cutter will. My EBA cutter...

Duplo DC-618 Slot 2 Making Weird Noise

$200 sounds very reasonable to me. While the tech is there you can find out what kind of oil and grease they’re using. They may give you a few free tips on maintaining it if you’re lucky.

Label cut sheets for digital printing

I get all my label stock from GF Labels. If you don't see what you're looking for don't hesitate to contact them. They are not a hug company and normally very responsive to requests.

    Upgrading our creasing?

The Morgana Autocreaser and Duplo machines are great machines. I have nothing against them; I have a Duplo DC618 that I love. I also have several Rollem machines and for what you would like to do, that’s what I would use. Outfit the Rollem with one or several Tri-Creaser heads and you will be...

    Xerox Versant envelope double feeding

The 280 will feed envelopes nonstop if you place them in trays 6 & 7 and set your paper source to auto tray select. Use the card brackets that came with the 280, they are uses for narrow width stock like envelopes. Don’t fill the trays like you would standard stock, start with small stacks in...

    duplo dc 616

I run 24 up all the time on the 618 and use the apply shrinkage, it works wonders! I also always use the reg marks on my sheets. I would imagine that if the sheets are off that much, then the magnification on the engine is not correct and should be adjusted.

Versant 280 - Side 2 will Not align, let alone center

Give this a try, it may or may not help but it should be run to align the trays properly. When logged in on console, under maintenance on last page select Register Paper Feeding Positions.

    Xerox Proficio Range

This is what I have been hearing for the last few months. The Revoria now uses LED imaging.

Printing Photos to Digital Press, Command Workstation

No affiliation, but you could take a look at Qimage. I have used it in the past to send photo jobs to the Fiery and also to my Canon wide format. Probably more features than you’re looking for, but it’s an inexpensive program for what it can do.

Xerox partners with Kyocera for Cut Sheet production presses

This makes sense, a Xerox rep told me that there was an update for the Versant 280 coming soon. Looks like Fuji already has it in their lineup. The new boxes switched to LED imaging for what was the Versant lineup, so it truly is an upgrade from what has been out there.

Versant 180 NVM's To reset Drums

It would be much better if you replaced the cleaning blade, foam roller, and charge roller at the same time as the drum. Buy the chip from the same place you bought the drum. Rebuilding correctly should be about half the cost of a new drum, so you’re still saving money.

    4over Issues

I wouldn’t send a time sensitive job to them. If they have equipment issues, they will shift production to another facility and it will add days onto delivery, and they won’t inform you it’s going to be produced on the West Coast while your shop is on the East Coast. Then if something goes wrong...

    Versant 180 Toner Issue

I've had this happen on my 280, it was the developer housing leaking. It wasn't as nasty looking as your prints, but maybe worth a look.

What printing platform works best with google SEO

A bit off your SEO topic, but it’s really hard to compete for traffic with the big online guys. Lots you can do for SEO like others have stated, but I have found that if I concentrate on the local market and use what I already know how to do well, direct mail, I can direct new and existing...

Tariffs - Have they, or, will they impact your business?

I get what you’re saying and there’s no way to know for sure if an actual tariff caused the price increase or corporate greed. In the case of Xerox AE toner, it may be manufactured in the United States but I have no idea where all the raw materials come from. Cobalt black comes to mind; you...
