    Ricoh C7100's vs C7200's

We had a c7110 for 5 years. It was a good machine, but we never truly utilized the 5th color station to its full potential. It also didn't work well if you had to lay down the white first and then do a 2nd pass for the CMYK, the registration never held. But the c7200 solved that by allowing you...

buying new digital production machine KMC7090/KMC12000/Canon V1000/RicohC9200

We have a c9200. Solid machine. Back to back registration is near perfect, even on the banner size sheets. Up to 24pt. board thickness of sheets, duplex. Color consistency for months on end, even without calibration. The vacuum feed trays pretty much eliminate all jams unless you have the paper...

Digital Metallic Ink Xerox vs. Rioch vs. HP

Our Rich 7110 produced some good results with white ink. We got rid of it before the c7200 came out with the silver/gold colors, but I've seen samples and they look quite nice. The c7200 also allows you to switch the 5th ink position from first to last, so you can always lay down white first, or...

Need wide-format printer recommendation (for a very unique case)

More than likely not. No matter how nice your printer is, if you put shit images in, you'll get shit images out. Just make sure the images you use are a high res as possible. More pixels the better. If they are smaller than 4' x 4' and you have to resize them up to that size there will be image...

EOL on Xerox Iridesse Coming Soon....

The Ricoh c9200 series is a beast. Never goes down for service, replaceable parts are on hand if need be to keep you going until the tech shows up. The front/back registration is awesome and has an automated set up. Ricoh is now rolling out a "matte" fuser kit as well. Ours is technically a...

Need wide-format printer recommendation (for a very unique case)

The HP Z9+ series produces a nice quality print and also has the built in cutters so you don't have to trim the prints out after completion. They come in a 24" and 44" width size, but you could always just use the smaller 24" and print 36" prints, you'd just be limited to 24" on one side. The...

Ricoh Pro c9210 Print Quality Issue

If you go into the "Advanced" paper settings for the particular paper you are using there is a setting to adjust the NIP roller. If you turn it down it will take care of that most of the time. We had the same issue on 24pt. C2S and when we turned down the NIP to level 1 it went away.

    Ricoh 9210 replacement

Next up should be the c7300. c7500 would be two additional generations from now. Unless you're thinking of the z75, which is a B2 inkjet press. That is nearing the end of its development cycle and should be releasing soon for order.

    Ricoh 9200 vs konica12000

You're limited by the minimum sheet size on one side. The smallest is 5.5 inches, so in order to meet the minimum size you have to open up the flap. Otherwise it just registers as a jam every time. If you're running a lot of envelopes it's better to buy a different machine that is more suited...

    Ricoh 9210 output tray

I will admit this is one limitation on Ricoh machines. That finisher that is required with the Plockmatic is not that great. I've had a c7110 and a c9200 and both have had the trays break on me multiple times. The stacker option is the way to go. You could always remove the tray entirely and put...

    Ricoh 9210 replacement

When I spoke with my Heidelberg rep (we lease our c9200 as a Versafire EP through Heidelberg), he told me Ricoh's top priority in product development has been the new z75 B2 sheetfed inkjet machine. However, if you look at the way they've rolled out product releases in the past, the c8000 series...

The KM costs 5% more, but is there really a difference or just personal preference? C5300s or C4070

I agree. From what I've seen the c5300 is glorified copy machine. The quality looks good, not as smooth as a c7200 or c9200, but passable. However, it's a small box, so registration will be a huge issue and duplexing thicker stocks is a no-no. At the same token a KM 4070 is going to be about the...

    Ricoh 9200 vs konica12000

We have our Ricoh c9200 leased through Heidelberg, branded as a Versafire EP. Amazing machine. I can't say enough about it. I recently switched jobs and the place I went to bought their machine based on my recommendations at my old job. The registration is damn near perfect and it will auto...
