Agreed with all this, 100%. I keep telling my boss this too. Unfortunately in the market we're in Canva is a new reality so we have to modify to support it as best we can. Otherwise, say no equals lost revenue.

Interesting. We are running a Versant 280 and the local Xerox Rep is pushing for a new lease for newer equipment BUT, I'm almost thinking it's best to just buy-out this Versant and keep it running.

Bumping this post to see if there have been any advances in substrate to digitally print labels on a toner based press. Specifically in my situation (Versant 280). We run many digital paper-based labels on various Pacesetter branded sheets and kiss-cut without issue, we at times do laminate...

Too many variable's with toner based presses. Heat, speed, paper thickness and sheet-to-sheet bounce. Also, after you print a sheet the paper shrinks and I would assume you also get another bit of shrinkage when run through your sleeker press. We avoid tight register with sleeked jobs.
