Fuji Luxel 9600 - how to clean spinner?

I would never clean a spinner mirror with dry cloth. Depending on spinner type and speed rating the polished surface may be easy to scratch. I say it's safe to use IPA. Use special dry cleaning tissue for optics or microfiber cloth for household window cleaning (yes it works fine don't laugh) ...

    Prosetter 52 distorted dot

Chavez, the prosetter attempts to purge the water trap twice during startup. Not only the filter bowl contacts are dirty as Colin said above but the first filter has been probably flooded causing pressure dropouts and spinner problems along the way. If you are familiar with the machine and don't...

    ECRM MAKO NEWSmatic experience

Very reliable. If you run a few hundred plates daily on a matic you still need one or two service visits per year for cleaning and lubricating just basic maintenance nothing unusual. The recorder engine itself is well built.

    Polly/Koenig Bauer manual

I'm looking for literature regarding Polly Application Performer, it's a software in the console of a KBA Performa sheetfed machine. The computer in there is running Win2000 and this Polly Performer, cip3 compliant with GUI on an ELO touchscreen. Can anyone help me find a manual please ?

    memjet based label printers

I haven't actually seen such a printer but I received printed samples and they look impressive, deep rich color absolutely not the thing I expected to see from a memjet machine. I also believe they're coated they look too shiny I shall take a closer look on Monday.

    Job Negotiation

It's a dangerous place. Talking about bleeding, having processes killed, other nasty operations like cutting. Whadda you mean cut ? Wanna cut my job ??

    Preps 6.3 cutting shemes

Not familiar with preps 6 but in general you either prepare a cip3 file for ink presetting with preview or cip3 for finishing, can't do both.

Postscript screen angle comments ignored in Harlequin RIP

I think Maxwell's rip is unable to identify the colorants in a consistent way and assign the specific separations to spot angles. The best way is to edit a composite separation style (in-rip separation) with as many spot colours as necessary, each named and with its own angle (perfectly doable)...

Postscript screen angle comments ignored in Harlequin RIP

Harlequin Server RIP v.9 user manual, snip : from the Eclipse Release of the Harlequin RIP ink types are decided using the Ink Set Manager which is only available when one of the TrapPro options are enabled. See the documentation supplied with TrapPro for more information. If the chosen output...

Caustic soda as a thermal plate developer

For pH above 12 you need a lot of sodium hydroxide. High concentrations of this stuff are used to etch or dissolve aluminum. I believe manufacturers use potassium hyd. for a reason, along other ingredients.

    Problem with plate Agfa LAP-V

The finisher quality is critical for plate ink receptivity. VladCanada asked for more info. For instance do you have a washing reentry slot for plates ? Do you get any errors on display ? All temperatures and circulation/replen pumps ok ? Possible solutions to your problem : -take a sponge...

    Solvent dripping on electronic boards

Most probably not. Remove the PCBs from machine and clean them with IPA or other mild solvent using a brush. When everything is clean allow to dry for at least 24 hours in a warm place.

    Beam Profiler

Yes he mentioned platen and cassette so I guess it's an LS-Jet ...he's lucky because aligning the optics bed in a commercial granite bed Krause is a complete murder.

    Beam Profiler

If you say you expose a plate on the ctp and process in another plate processor and it comes out fine, then why is the platesetter suspect ? I think you have to reconsider everything and start over again. Forget about focus and beam shape, come back to simple things : what do you see on plate ...

    Beam Profiler

Correct. There's a procedure to follow based on the tiff files you have on your harddisk, use maximum plate size if available. A beam profiler will not help much because it characterizes the beam shape and energy distribution not necessarily focus condition and you machines are long depth of field.

    Best chemistry

Developers in sealed containers :) now seriously there's not much you can do to extend dev life, it's going to degrade once loaded in a film processor. Always use the correct developer for the film type. Sometimes other brands may work but it's open to experiment. Production permitting you have...
