i assume your talking about the side lay roller spring?? Yeah i run it as light as possible, have found too much pressure will give you a slight mis-register, and varying the pressure on the spring doesn't seem to affect the problem on this stock...

We are having a few minor probs with our 40" Komori... Firstly, longitudinal creasing (grip to tail), always on the drive side of the press, and only on the light stock that we use a lot of(80gsm 'velvet'). It is not terribly bad, not enought to pull up the job, but irritating nonetheless...

We had a similar prob with an old Roland rekord, more a case of mulitple monkeys over the years fiddling with shit they shouldn't have.. Setting the front clamps to zero on the scale caused more probs than simply leaving them alone, at least they had been more or less zeroed from last job...

Perhaps too much spray powder on the first pass?? Transferring onto blankets and affecting the plate image?? Too much spray will definately give a ghosted image of first pass when backing up...try washing blankets a little more often or even de-spraying by moving the job back a unit and using...

Try running hostmann impression series rather than resista, its far better IMHO. Follow the rules...minimum ink, minimum water and minimum impression... and when running on bond, break up the run into shorter runs and try to back it up asap, especially with hostmann ink (been using it for years...
