As far as registration on the 9100 it is quite good. I have yet to have any front to back alignment issues that couldn't be handled within the Fiery by shifting the image a hair

They are kinda stingy when it comes to consumables but if I whine enough my techs will get me a couple. Usually I just dump as needed and try to Pawn it off on a co-workers grandkid as pretty colored play sand

^ What he said ;) it also prints textured stocks beautifully. Have never had much luck on a heavy laid stocks with any digital until the 9100 came along

We installed a 9100 in July after I did demos on the big 3. I went to Chicago and looked at everything Fuji/xerox had and then went to two different Konica locations and then Ricoh. We have had both Xerox and KM machines over the past 15 years and I just wanted to take a fresh look at everything...

That is sweet.... I dont believe Xerox had that option when I was at the demo room in Chicago. Must be new. Now I'm jealous :)

Is it a Xerox finisher or a Plock? If it is Xerox, I didn't realize that they made such a robust finisher. We installed a Ricoh 9100 in July and are quite pleased with it also but Ricoh doesn't make a heavy duty booklet maker. The only option is a Plock to the tune of about 50K

Agreed....force them to fix the problem by bringing in an "Expert" It can be so frustrating when you hear "thats as good as it gets" or the "within spec" line. Exactly how many scratches do they spec as normal :rolleyes:

You don't need to create a new color group.... you just have to edit that particular spot color "names are very important" and save

I know the 9100 is only 27.5 so i would assume the 71's would be the same

Yes, I have bumped the transfer currents up considerably. It does definitely help but doesn't completely resolve the issue. The only problem I have with "paper type" is that this particular stock is used for one customer and I had to build a custom output profile for all of their work to look...

You too and good luck....thats what service is for :) I would guess that pulling out your chargers and cleaning them would be a good step but I usually let my service guys do all that stuff for me unless I am slow and bored

and PS on above comment. Sometimes the Cure all on this machine is a simple "shut it down Completely" let it sit a couple and fire back up. It will run itself through a bunch of checks and sometimes naturally fix an issue you may be having

Agreed with above comments..... Our KM rep was really trying to get us in to an MGI. The samples we got from them were amazing but when I sent some files of our own to test run they looked terrible. Tells me that they really have to dial jobs in to make them look good. Like stated above.... MGI...
