I need your suggestions please... We have CTP (Trendsetter 800 III/Kodak). and Komori Lithrone. We print labels but sometimes the plates will automatically wash out the images. We check the alcohol at komori but its OK. Any comments? how to keep the plates as is.

Re: G3 iMac shuts down it's a Kernel Panic. The one and only OS X true crash. Try removing all but the original RAM. i'll bet that's your culprit right there. OS X doesn't like cheap RAM. If not, you should zap your pram, that fixes things alot sometimes.

Re: Proofing for CTP Hi, Here in my country we are using EFI application. But first, we use 1bit in creo then transfer the negative format into EFI print. We use this technique to assure that no text, images etc. will be gone.

Re: Trapping software? Artpro works pretty fine if you are in Prepress company. Save to pdf in illustrator and Artpro will do the trapping. It takes a minute to trap our labels.

Re: 1-bit TIFF Inspection Here in my country, We are using Globis products via Creo to check the file in 1bit tiff. And printout in Epson Stylus. Works pretty well on Heidelberg and komori machines. The problem in 1bit tiff is the graphic is too pixalized.
