    Synthetic paper for KIP KC80

Hi, We are looking for a "Tuffcoat" type substrate, synthetic, non-tear, high opacity substrate that can be used on wide format KIP Color KC 80. This is to print wide format posters for gorcery stores. The problem with the "Tuffcoat" is that it melts due to the high heat produces by KIP 80. If...

    Komori picture framing

I was surprised that no one mentioned about Calcium Carbonate leeching out of paper, perhaps is one of the causes. Papers that are coming from overseas and some domestic papers contain a ton of Calcium carbonate. If the pH of the fount is too low (more acidic) it can break it down...

    New Konica C8000 Install

    HP Z2100 question

I have noticed that when you use some self adhesive gloss and matte vinyls on any wide format ink jet printers, you will experience scuffing. But there are some polypropylene substrates that can alleviate this problem.

    the future of offset??

I have to agree 100% with Dave-nhprinter. Those shops without a digital press is farming out their work and when their volume goes up, they will lease a digital machine and do it inhouse. The commercial sheetfed work is 20-30% down in the USA and it is not coming back. I also see that the...

    Conductivity

While I agree with all posts above, I would like to ask what is happening to your prints at that conductivity number. If you have no print issues with it, why would you think that the conductivity is high. Perhaps you are just not used to seeing a conductivity of 2300 mmhos.

    ink emulsification

The first thing I would suggest is to make sure you do not have a mechanical issue with that unit. So I would put magenta in that unit and put cyan in the magenta unit, If the probelm continues with the Cyan ink, contact your ink supplier and explain your finding. There are some ink varnishes...
