What causes this problem? This is when exporting an illustrator file to EPF for backstage without outlining fonts. Many pdfs get generated, each with a little bit of type on them. After outlining the fonts there isn't a problem, but that workaround is clumsy. I've noticed that it doesn't happen...

Does anybody know a keyboard shortcut in Illustrator for going from the type tool (while you're entering text) to the item tool (command a or v) without just typing a letter a or v? Now I have to click on the item with the mouse, and thought there might be a shortcut that I don't know about.
