Just went through this and called Saftey Kleen and had it removed. Any inkjet inks that contain solvents or oils can be reclaimed at the local oil change shop - just be sure to bring the MSDS sheet to prove to them it is oil based.

The newer inkjet solutions on metal plates are reliable, simple but are not really cheap per plate. Presstek make a small footprint 2 up machine but plates are very high ECRM Violet will be the cheapest and a plate company or local dealer may have a used processor to help lower your intro cost...

I have the same thing that happens on only a few machines. They eventually do power down ( +/-15 minutes) and seems to bee related to our network. We all log into a PC DOMAIN server (not running Extreme ZIP) and the network log off seems to lock up the mac for a time.

Also do yourself a favor and review Nexus and eveluate it compared to Prinergy. It worked well for me and cost 1/2 as much when bought as a stand alone product from Esko.

I have 2 used ABDick presses we used to print envelopes with. They have t-Heads and all they will need is an envelope feeder. We used them and converted over to RISO inkjets and no longer use them. Can sell them for $3500 for the pair or $2000 each.(US). You can run Xante plastic plates also...
