    Xerox solid ink warning

Wrong Wrong OK Xerox guys. I went to a demo, printed lots of different stuff. I rubbed the output and had solid ink on my fingers. We ran the job again and let it sit until completely cool. Guess what same thing. The stuff came off easily on Xerox uncoated stock. Why do you think this...

quickmaster di good or bad? running costs

Costs Costs I run a DI. Plates are about $8.57 (Presstek Brand). Running Toyo inks. It beats most toner devices from a cost point @ 1,500 sheets (12 x 18) or more. Runs envelopes great. Overall pretty happy.

    Xerox solid ink warning

Disappointing Disappointing I agree with some of the other posts. The "solid ink" easily came off. I saw really no improvement from the old solid ink engines. Yes I am a printer. I don't know of any offices that would appreciate the lack of image durability.

    C6500 Registration

Registration Roller Registration Roller The springs he reffered to are the on the registration roller. There are 3 settings however the 3rd position stretches the springs to far and damages them. I have it running on the second positon. I still fight registration issues. It fixes some of...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

Registration Registration Well Random's tip corrected our wandering registration. We are now consistantly achieving under .5 mm movement on all stocks. My only battle left is the 1-2mm skew on the duplex. I have tried the chart adjustment but without success. My toner coverage for the last...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

Now we are getting somewhere Now we are getting somewhere Well Random that was what I was looking for. I have replaced the entire reg unit but I will definitely take a look at the pressure on the springs. You know I think you have alot of knowledge and experience that could be useful to the...

    Oce CS650 / KM 6500 Drum Issue

Dusting Pouch Dusting Pouch I have had it happen once out of about 40 drums. It happen right at the start. I am now putting on some extra dusting powder. You could ask your tech for one they are pretty cheap. I haven't seen one flip since.

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

Will you answer my question? Will you answer my question? What are the actual numbers you see? Are they 1mm or 3mm. I am not referring to centering the image. I am talking about the lead edge registration moving 3mm forward and back " yes I have tested with Konica reccomended stock". It...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

Registration Registration What would you say your 6500's do as far as registration. Any skew? What are you seeing front to back? What are you seeing side to side? What do you see on a brand new box and a box with 1,000,000 plus on it. There is a big difference in the relationship when you...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

The Last Line The Last Line You know Random I was probably trained by a guy just like you. You have a real bent on Xerox. It wasn't even part of the conversation. From what I have read in the forum if anyone says anything negative about a C6500 than a Xerox 5000 (or any other number) is a...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

Parts Failure Parts Failure The drum does not come into contact with the paper. Neither does the developer unit. Actually the image transfer belt does and it is probably the only component I haven't seen fail early. We have had a number of dev units fail early with banding. I know the dev...

6501 Improvements over 6500 6501 Improvements over 6500 Have they done anything to improve registration? Have they done anythine to improve color consistancy across the page? I found that dev units/drums/pm kits need to be changed at about 60% of the published volumes.

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

PM PM I merely stated what a pm was and what was in the kits. The waste toner bottle is at the back side of the printer. Several components can be replaced by the user if a service tech allows them. The 100k kit is a 5 minute job. Most users will replace the waste toner bottle themselves...

    Konica Minolta 6500 - Thoughts

PM PM Preventative Maintenance Kit On the 6500 2 kits exist. 100k just corotrons and 2 waste toner bottles 200k includes corotrons and several other items like transfer belt, filters etc. It also includes a list of items to be cleaned/checked etc. At the conclusion the tech would also run...
