This is a straight question, just wanting some professional experienced opinions. Is there any printing press or digital printer that will print the same thing over and over (couple thousand sheets a day) and maintain its color consistency? Has anyone experienced this? Is it totally ridiculous...

Humidity seems to help with "fireflies". I've noticed during the summer when the humidity was up there was almost no fireflies. Also, it seems to do it more with cyan with what we print and when the ink coverage is heavier.

Paper Paper We've been running this paper for about 8 months - Mohawk 50/10 Blue White Matte, 100 lb cover, 12x18 (270 gsm). It's pretty much all I run through this machine.

Ricoh c900 Ricoh c900 I get about 1200-1400 sheets per hour running duplexed on 100 lb cover(12x18) on the c900. One side is about 80-90% ink coverage. It does pretty good.

I am curious how did they get the machine to stop jamming. I am experiencing the same issue, with a lot of multi-feeding (usually 2-3 sheets) of 100 lb cover coated stock. Sometimes this happens a lot of the day.

We have had the beginning frustrations/learning curve as well. We also do about 1-2 service calls weekly. After we chose what paper to run, the service tech tweaked the machine to that kind of paper and we had less issues and better print quality. I have noticed some issues come and go at times...
