So what does your blanket rep think?

Did you measure a blanket to make sure they cut and barred them to the correct length? I had this happen once to us

They put the web stretcher on backwards, or, they are not using the correct size pre-registered dots.....

I get the ghosting on both unit to unit and transfer through. I get it on 30# gloss #5 and even on 70# gloss #3 webs.....

I have a BAKER PERKINS G16 that loves to ghost when given a chance. The kind of ghosting that I am having problems with is the printed image on one side of a page will appear on the other side. Example=heavy coverage on ink on the bottom side of the web will make the image appear on the top side...

Is it hotter then normal in the plant? Is the cooler working correctly for your fountain soution? Gordo is right, your spreads on your curves are pretty crazy....

Is there a zone control cooler for the units, is it running too hot.

Nice idea. Before 5s we had a good recycling program. Now, I dont think we throw anything away, well not that much. About a month ago we had a full blown wall to wall OSHA inspection and had not one violation in my Pressroom. I like to blieve that a large part was the change in the culture on...

You nailed that one right on the head. We have sustained our 6s due to the fact that the guys on the floor bought into the program. Once the culture is established, upkeep and tweeking are a breeze. I WOULD NEVER WANT TO GO BACK TO PRE 5S DAYS....

We started the 5s and switched to 6s recently. Great progam. When we walk customers through the building, they are amazed at how clean the place is.

Are you refering to 5S as the straighting, cleaning, organizing, etc.....

On web presses when this happens we just spray plate cleaner on the cleaned up chromes and that seems to do the trick. On bad cases years ago, we would clean up the chromes and apply Petro Gum, let it dry, start up and run.

Currently using Flint ink black on heatset newsprint, non-heat newsprint, and gloss paper. Love the stuff. (3 different sets of blacks).
