    FDA Varnish for Thermal Transfer printing

    I have a current customer using digital labels with a protective varnish that meets FDA food contact requirements. Now they want the ability to add their own variable print with a thermal transfer ribbon. Does anybody here know of a TT imprintable varnish that meets FDA food contact requirements?

    Laminate polyester to polyester

    I need to print on polyester and laminate polyester on top, as the resulting labels will be exposed to temperatures too high for other laminating films. The problem is getting polyester to stick to itself reliably. Is anyone doing this on press with a UV-cured adhesive?
