Help needed with switching to uv ink

How long has the paint dried? When putting on vinyl you need to wait at least 4 weeks for the paint to gas off. If the dyne of the painted service is too low UV ink would just flake off. After the paint has dried use some 1000 grit sandpaper to rough up the surface so your ink has somthing to...

    How to cut aluminum plates

I have been Fuji, Agfa, Kodak plate facilities. The Plate were all cut on paper cutters. The blade angle was different than for paper cutting. You can cut about 20 plates a a time using chipboard on top and bottom of the stack. I would start out doing 5 at a time and increase 5 at a time...

? Best Means To Create Equal Ink Dwell Time with a Printing Machine ?

The big thing will it save production cost? If it does how much? A percentage point or 2 is insignificant unless you are a very big player. If it can improve quality would you even be able to notice a difference unless it is standing next to a piece printed printed at 175lpi? Points to ponder.

? Best Means To Create Equal Ink Dwell Time with a Printing Machine ?

Where did this come from? I see no logic in this. If I have 10% image on the plate I must use a different pigment load than a 42% image on the plate!!! This makes no sense.

Printing Inks and the Mechanisms of Printing – New Technology?

D Ink Man air and water are an essential part of the lithographic process. Using air and water to squirt ink does have its place, it is still printing just doesn't require an imaged carrier to transfer ink.

    Anyone at Print 13?

The last show I attended was 2006. There is noticeably almost no offset presses as compared to my last show. It is quite obvious that there is belief that digital can save print. Before I would commit a large percentage of my production to digital it would be wise to check on what avenues...

    Dot Gain UV ink

I have seen this many times. Your fountain solution's solvency is tearing your ink uv apart. I would also think that your are experiencing misting. The problem is very easy to fix by changing fountain solution.
