Looks like your well covered on this one if DYP is helping you out however, I just wanted to ask a couple questions. -Are you positive you are running short-grain meaning the grain of the paper is parallel to the lead edge of the sheet? -Also when you run your test are you running one sheet...

Ricoh 7100 - printing white in black paper

Your right Richardson that's what it is however, if he needs to register I would not do that. That has screwed me in the past. Here are the setting on the 7100 however again, due to firmware updates the numbers may have changed. 013: Deactivate Image Adj to On 014: Skew Detection to Off Good...

Ricoh 7100 - printing white in black paper

Again what are the specs of the media? So see if you can find in the paper catalog entry for this paper, maybe #120, Illumination Mode for Color Paper. Set this to "Long Time" Problem is through firmware updates they have worded stuff differently and added/removed options so let me know if you...

Ricoh 7100 - printing white in black paper

Iceprinter in your paper cat setting for this paper go to Ppr Edge Detection and set that to 10. That should do it if you know for sure your not pulling dbls. When it rejects what code is being displayed in the control panel? Good Luck Also one other thing is go to the "Special" or 5th unit...

    Heidelberg SBBK Cylinder question

Okay is there any way you can post a picture of the box under the counter as well as the lever you say is for heavy and light pressure? I think if it is the knob I am thinking of it is actually the position of the brush which you can change the pressure of. Changing the pressure of the cylinder...

    Heidelberg SBBK Cylinder question

So Stinger if you don't mind me asking when was the last time this press has had a once over by someone. I suspect their is something else going on however it sounds like you have found a better way or at least be a bit more cautious as far as packing and what to shoot for. So has the bed been...

    Heidelberg SBBK Cylinder question

Hi Stinger, So this is what I personally would do. Use however much packing to get the jacket to bearer height. The bottom of the bed (regardless if there is packing under the plate or not) to the bearer height should be type high, .918 Now with brand new cut rule build your chase so you...

    Heidelberg SBBK Cylinder question

So a couple things comes to mind (keep in mind I ran several cylinder presses but it was a couple decades ago so hopefully I recall correctly). One is inserting the packing and the method you use to roll up the jacket onto the cylinder. What I mean is, the way I did it was I would hang the...

major black issue with Ricoh 9100

I just want to throw this out there, there have been a lot of Mods that have come out for the 9100. So it would be good to find out if those were installed or not. Not all directly deal with this issue but doesn't matter. If you have a service contract you should push to get those on the machine.

major black issue with Ricoh 9100

This one really has me confused so FYI I went ahead and got with a Ricoh tech who is a really good friend of mine and is a REALLY great tech but, I sent him the image you posted, the Gracol test sheet, and talked with him about it. See if his response applies to you or if you have heard this...

@therm can you do me a favor? Can you PM me your server config. If you are unsure of how to do, in command workstation, to the left of the server name there are three dots. Click that and go down to Print, and then choose Server Configuration. Scan that as a pdf then PM me and upload file. If...

major black issue with Ricoh 9100

Curious, are you building paper profiles using FCPS? What, if you don't mind me asking, is your daily calibrating routine? Also under output profile in job properties are you using user defined or actually selecting a profile that you used to calibrate to? Also, do you have any higher res...

major black issue with Ricoh 9100

I don't have it anymore but it was a 9100. Ran it for about 4 years I wanna say. The problem I had with this model was when I would send 100% raster black. It would want to print it at like a 90% screen. Went through this for a while trying to figure out what was going on. Another thing is...

major black issue with Ricoh 9100

So basically I just want to say this was not a big issue with mine. I do however remember that we had an issue where the black on occasions would print not as expected, but this was due to the file and/or RIP settings, not the printer. Which is why I used this test sheet to identify and compare...

    Any Ricoh 9210's Out There??

I do not use the ACD feature. I basically use FCPS to build paper profiles and then when needed, calibrate. I hope I understood what you were asking.
