I have not heard of layer names mattering, but my only experience is on the Ricoh printers using a Fiery rip.

On our 7110 it only needs to be the color swatch named correctly and applied to your objects. The layer names don't matter.

I'm not sure what the spot color needs to be named for the Neon Pink, as we only use Clear and White. For us the spot colors need to be named exactly Clear or White and the capitalization matters.

Thank you, but we hang 4 plates at a time. The clips that we are using have tabs that fit through the holes in the punched plates giving a solid hanging point. We can fit 4 plates (CMYK) on 2 clips. I'm afraid these wouldn't have a strong enough grip.

You need bleed on all 4 sides even for Pur binding. I have not found an easy way to do it automatically. Usually our customers build their files with facing pages and no bleed on the inside. In this case we use pitstop within acrobat to automatically add bleed. But this isn't always a good...
