Add Object - rectangle

I would like to put a KEYLINE SPOT color .187 inches from all four sides of a PDF via Pitstop Server.
I found Add Object - rectangle. I can get it to be .187 from the top left...but, it does not KNOW the size of the document. It wants a FIXED size.
I would have to have 30 different actions - one for 8.5 x 11, etc.

To clarify, I want a rectangle that is a color called out as KEYLINE (orange, lets say). If the page is 8.5 x 11, then the box would be .187 from the left and top. The rectangle would then be 8.5 (minus .375) and 11 (minus .375)
This would then quickly show me if I have plate gap on an incoming PDF.

also a different approach, what about using the safety zone check for this to see if elements are within a certain distance of the defined box, ie trim, media, bleed etc?

Does it have to be a rectangle or could it be four lines that are 24 inches (for example) long? It wouldn't be a rectangle per se but it would accomplish the same basic function.

Good point, Matt. No, I just need the effect. I need it to look at 8 x 3 and make a horizontal line that is ..1875 from the top and left and is a total of (8 - .375 = 7.625) long.
Then, repeat .1875 from the bottom. Then, vertical, with the same concept.
The booger is that if the pdf is 10 x 12, the math all changes.
I can accomplish this in INDD easily with scripting. However, we are going to more and more pdfs from customers.
Yes, I have actually scripted where INDD throws the pdf into a page automatically (based on size) and does this for me, then outputs a pdf. Just seems crazy.
