An Introduction and a Question

Hello there,

This forum has been a source of information that I consider to be invaluable. As such I have decided to stop lurking and take and active stance in the community that I rely on so often.

So, without further ado, "Well hello there."

And now for something completely different, I have 3 machines (Xerox Docucolor 240/250 and a 260) averaging about 75k sheets per month. and I am wondering if it is possible to access the Print Hold Cue from the touchscreens on the machines themselves. Right now we have a fiery server and are running CWS5 to control everything. Call it lazy or just wanting to make things a little easier, but if I send to the hold cue in CWS is there anyway I can promote the job On the printer, not through the CWS GUI?

Thanks in advance,

I am new here as well, I have a 240 and a dc700, I can't do it on the 240 and I thought I would like it on the 700 but it takes too long to access, it's faster to go back to my office.

On the 700
touch the "services" button
Then on screen, press"all services"
Then press "web applications"
then press "login"
password box comes up(I leave it blank)
press"login"
Now you're at the point you can do something.
And of course if you leave that screen for a few minutes, you will be logged off again.
I still haven't figured out how it's sorted but generally the last thing I sent is on the last page. which of course is another button push.

Just a question, On that volume wouldn't the cheaper metering charge on a 700 pay for itself.
I only say it because I cry any time my 700 is down and I have to use the 240, the processing time alone is brutal. Never mind that my 240 doesn't have a Hi-cap feeder.
