Depends on the structure of the company and the competence of the employees. Ive worked in places where the press crews were not the most experienced, and would require supervision, and color OKs before running. Ive also worked in places where the lead pressman decided when it was ok to flip on the counter and begin running. If your company can afford to hire this level of skilled personnel then you will find things to be more profitable. This especially applies to short press runs where getting the press up and running quickly, can make for a couple of additional jobs per shift.
