Exactly.

Becoming a marketing services provider is what vendors are pushing printers to become in order to survive. (It's pretty much all that Kodak talks about). Being a "just printer" is stated as being a dead end road. The traditional printer is being told they need to work their way up the customer chain to get to the decision makers and participate in the marketing - i.e. be a creator of variable data campaigns, QR codes, PURLS, buy a digital press, etc. etc.
