Agfa has an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our team.
Agfa Graphics is a world leader in the field of film exposure, plate imaging and digital proofing systems used in the commercial printing and packaging industries as well as newspaper publishing.
Meanwhile, Agfa Graphics will acquire an important position in the segments of digital inkjet with highly targeted solutions for applications in the industrial inkjet printing including printing and decoration of objects, documents, posters, banners, billboards, labels and packaging materials.

To meet the continuing growth of our business, we are looking for a Business Development Manager for our Department of Industrial Inkjet Inks in NAFTA region. This position will generate new business relationships for the fast growing industrial inks operations in US and Canada. It's a challenging sales and marketing function for those looking for a new challenge in a strong growth market. We count on you for the establishment of a growth strategy and gaining subcontracts. You have a clear vision, know how, familiarity with digital inks and you are aware of market trends.
As Business Development Manager Inkjet Inks you are responsible for:
The right candidate will need to be able to identify the accessible market relevant to our industrial ink portfolio and to identify the sales channels. This position will need to establish a strong working relationship with the inkjet head manufactures and integrators since they will be the key influencers in the sales process.
Developing, implementing and generating sales in US and Canada by means of a clear go to market strategy, in close cooperation with the Agfa Corp. inkjet sales teams.
Provide market and customer feedback to HQ for continual product enhancements and improvements for ongoing market growth. This includes providing benchmarking and positioning vs the competition as well.
Hitting the budgeted ink sales,
Development of new growth segments such as packaging, marking/coding and industrial decoration where inkjet is part of a production process.
Reporting and forecasting in an accurate way.
Education
Master's degree in a Chemical or Economic direction in combination with an MBA (or equivalent experience).
Experience
Strong technical background on digital inkjet inks and printing systems.
Five years of experience in business development and have a proven track record in the creation of new business.
Aware of market trends and have an excellent network in this booming area.
You are a born entrepreneur. As a self-starter, you are able to launch projects from A to Z.
Must have leadership skills and have the ability to manage teams.
Customer focused and driven to achieve results.
Must be analytical and can take the necessary initiatives.
Good social and communication skills.
