C6 envelopes on KM PF-707m paper deck

We have been asked to print C6 (114mm x 162mm) gummed envelopes which must have a diamond flap as opposed to a pocket flap.
The PF-707m shortest substrate length is 139.7mm, exceeding than the 114m short edge of the C6 envelope, so if we are going to do this, the envelope is going to have to feed on the short edge, which I fear may cause problems with the diamond flap (resistance causing unwanted creasing/buckling to the envelope)
If this were a pocket flap, it would feed just fine, using envelope settings, as we do for larger C5 pockets.
Any thoughts / anyone doing small diamond flap envelopes on a KM with the PF-707m suction feed paper deck successfully? We don't have substrate to test this and would prefer not to buy to try, if it's a non-starter. Using the trays under the engine is not a consideration, as in addition to the U-turn also have similar minimum length constraints.

In the US, our equivalent are A2 envelopes which are 4.375" x 5.75" (or 111mm x 146mm) and ours have the diamond flap as well. Those have always been a fight for us on our KM's, so we end up running them through the bypass tray on our OKI. Luckily, people only order 50 or 100 with some thank you or note cards. Not only does buckling occur, but they seem to be just on the cusp of the minimum length that they get stuck when transferring between certain rollers that are too far apart.

Im not sure if this will work for you or not but we have had alot of luck opening the flaps on the envelopes and feeding them that way. That way we can change from the envelope setting and go to a thick 6 setting. It runs faster, feeds better and less pressure on the transfer belt. Just kinda sucks opening and closing the envelopes.

The customer brought in some 100GSM C6 gummed yesterday (she had stock as is currently printing them singly on a home inkjet) which we tested feeding on the short aspect with good results. Whilst one swallow doesn't make a summer, we did run 50 pieces with no jams and perfect output, so good signs. Plus our dealer has set up two new and fair billing coefficient settings for Env1 (C6 length+10mm) and Env2 (C5 length +10mm) so the clicks work commercially. We shall see how this progresses over time.
