Epson 9700 Hangs during AID check

Hi,

One of my Epson machines "The 9700" hangs during AID check at power-up in normal mode.It does not give any error message.When the machine is started up in self test mode,it boots up fine.It does hang though when the AID check command is given.Anyone faced this kind of error before on the newer X900 or other similar machines?
