GTO 52 Dampener Form Pressure...

We have a GTO 52 with Crestlines. It seems that we are having trouble getting enough pressure to the plate even with new rollers. It is a 1985 GTO and I was wondering if anyone could tell me if this is a common issue caused by weak springs or if I should be looking at something else.

Not familiar with Crestlines but one thing you might want to check is the diameter of your rollers. Maybe they need to be a bit bigger. Just a thought

You should contact the Crestline people directly. Tel: (972) 484-6808 • Fax : (972) 484-6510

On the GTO 52 the water forms aren't really part of the Crestline frame. The rollers may be a different material, but they fit into the standard press slots. I really thought that putting brand new forms in would fix this, but it hasn't. The rollers have rubber collars that ride on the cylinder bearers and they seem to prevent you from getting the recommended stripe without more pressure.
