HELP: ITEK 3985 to run #10 envelopes

Is there a trick to get #10 envelopes to feed through my ITEK 3985?

You have to pull one of the straps out of the way on the feeder. There is a cam that you can unlock that will give you a lot of slack so you can move one of the bands over the side guide. Turn your air all the way down and vacuum on full. Pile height as low as you can make it. the weight bar that hits the envelope on the feeder may need to be moved forwards or backwards. If all else fails try and run them landscape. If you have an astro envelope feeder that is the easiest way to do it.

The early 3985 had no way to release tension on the 7 belts so you must yank them up and over the push guide. Imagine Ryobi made a mistake in the design heaven forbid. Products from Japan are perfect right?
Than Ryobi released the 3302 with the belt release after USA people started complaining about the set up. Typical USA people must direct Japan on how to design NOT copy a machine. So far we are at Ryobi 3302 with 7 belts 5 belts now the standard is 4 belts.
I have many customers running envelopes on the 3302/3985 etc. They run really good if properly tuned.
The Astro envelope feeder is a great help I mean 10K an hour, but the feed table works fine also.
If you get tail whip remember an envelope is a built of different thickness so you may have to compensate via the upper or lower feed roller.
