Illustrator Pattern Swatches

I get files from a certain client that likes to use the pattern swatches for the background of cartons. Now my problem is when you change the axis point, the pattern moves according to the new point of origin. So when I try to put the carton onto a layout, the patterns are changing from carton to carton depending on where it is on the layout. Does anyone know a way to maybe outline the patterns or fix it's point of origin? thanks.

Ah the pattern swatches tool or "how to create complex files with ease".
You can convert the pattern to outline by;
1) Select the pattern area
2) Go to Object Menu - Expand
