Invitation Company Digital Solution

Hello all. I own an invitation company and I've been using a variety of small lexmark, canon, xerox and ricoh lasers for my projects. The company has grown to the point where i need one consistent digital press for my projects. I use mostly 80 -110lb card stock, mostly metallic. I also need the ability to print custom sizes down to 3.5 x 5 and also envelopes, again down to about 3.5 x 5. Any ideas? I admittedly am a novice when it comes to the printers available. Im not adverse to either a lease or purchase i really just dint know where to start. Thanks in advance for any ideas. For purchase I'd like to keep it under 2000 or so, lease could be negotiable.

At that price (or around that price), I would say the Oki stuff would be the way to go...

OKI machines would fit your needs as they cope well with varying sizes and stocks, but be very aware that the colours will change drastically as parts such as drums begin to wear. At 50% of their life, the colours it produces will be very different from when the drums are at 100%. If colour consistancy is important, then avoid the OKI ranges. I personally like the Xerox 250, but your budget would need to increase to get one.

My experience with the Oki 9850 has been very different, but I have a Fiery and the ability to calibrate...maybe everyone else doesn't have that?

Thanks for the replies

I will look into oki models and am still peeking at the xante ilumina.

My monthly volume is probably 2000 or so a month maybe a little bit more.

How are oki models on consumables?
