And the thumb drives dont just have the customer files. They are known repositories of malware and bloatware. We used a mac to offload any thumb drives which protected against some/most issues but revealed more junk. YMMVI had a customer come in the other day with a thumb drive. That's a hard no for us. I'm super twitchy about someone accidentally infecting our systems with tainted thumbdrives. Sending the files via email at least lets them be scanned (most of the time) by email servers before they get to us.
