lost copy of Adobe suite

I recently lost my hard drive and trashed the copies I had from work of the Adobe creative suite 3.
I'm not sure how it works. Do you need to unload from the machine you copied to. So are those disks from not usable any more for a second copy to be copied off?
Also. If we needed to buy another one. Can we buy suite 4 and have it undate thru from the other disks? and in the end have another one to copy off?

depends on whether you buy the update version. You of course can buy cs4 full version and not have any issue with upgrading. you can not to my knowledge down grade cs4 to cs3 if thats what you where needing to do. if you own the license I would think you could get a set of replacement disks from adobe for relatively little. if you bought the upgrade version of cs3 then I believe you can call adobe and get a special key to upgrade from cs2 with out the disk or an installed version. if this is all unlicensed that you got from work, then you are out of luck.
