NCR Set Binding Options

I do a fair amount of NCR forms using standard fan apart adhesive or padding compound. But, I have a customer requesting something like the attached. What do you call this means of binding the copies? Obviously it is perforated; but, what is the glue used above the perforation and how is it applied? I assume that there must be a machine that perfectly aligns and glues the copies?

You might be able to use a perfect binder which applies glue to the edge like a pad. Not sure how far up that 1/2" strip it will penetrate to hold it all together

I figured it had to be something fancier than I was setup to do. I suppose I'll see if the customer is open to switching to standard fan-a-part.

I wouldn't worry too much about the glue method. Your client may use these in a clipboard, which makes the stub and perf desirable. You can get pre-collated carbonless perfed with a 1/2 inch stub. Excel Snap-set is an example. You can use fan apart, or regular compound if they want pads with a specific number of sets.
