New Ricoh MP C5502 - Any Feedback?

Hi All,
Last month my company was about to order 12 new Ricoh MFPs including 7 MP C5501. Just before placing the order Ricoh replaced the 5501 with the new MP C5502.
Ricoh want us to push on with the order and take the new machines without an extensive period of testing on our part. Is there anything about the new 5502's that we should be concerned about? My understanding is that these new machines are not simply an evolution from the 5501 but represent some new technology for Ricoh.
Does anyone on the forum have an opinion on the Ricoh range that might help us?

Thanks in advance.

The hardware part isn't much different than the 5501 the biggest difference is the user interface but it can be configured to be like the old one. Do you have 5501's now?

Right now we have an all Canon range of MFPs installed by Ikon, now managed by Ricoh. The MP C5501's were going to replace 3 year old CLC5151's. We'd done our testing and research and were happy to go for the C5501. As we know next to nothing about the new C5502, we feel we need more information before pushing ahead with the new order. I have no reason to doubt that the C5502 will be an excellent machine, it's the lack of testing and history that worries us.

It's really not that different but if you are worried about it why not just test a 5502?

I don't think you need to worry about the history it's just an iteration of the previous model.

Thanks for the suggestions. It's good to know that Ricoh are confident in what appears to be an iteration of previous models. Hopefully, we'll be happy with the C5502. We will of course undertake a full testing program before taking delivery. My original issue was with Ricoh expecting us to take the new models without a testing period (as we'd done with the C5501). I wanted to know if anyone else considered that a 'risky' proposition.

After you test one come back and let us know if there is anything better or worse about the new model.
