I own a large format printing company. A customer want to sell me his Xerox phaser 7760. I would use it to print proofs and some short run of things (flyers, booklet, etc.). I'll do maybe 2k prints per month max.

the mahcine have 124k prints color and 214k print BW. He want to sell it for 750$.

What do you think? Is it a money pit?

Thanks.

Ben

Hi. Please print supply usage page. If Drums/Toners/Fuser level looks good and you don't have to buy any supplies right away - sound reasonably priced. We sell these for $1200 and up.

Thanks for the answer. Do you think it have too much prints (total life time)? Would it be usable for the next 2-3 years or I'm looking for troubles?

Thanks again.

Well yes, it should be. Well kept, I've seen them go to near 500,000.
I mean it has to be cleaned and properly serviced once upon a time. Other than that - it is a descent printer, I can't get enough of them to supply my demand. In our printshop we have one along side with OKI C9800 use them both all the time.
Roman.
