Hi, new UK-based member here!
How many here expect to visit the forthcoming PRINT 09 show in Chicago? Shows in the UK are having a bad year, with Northprint very poorly attended (by exhibitors and printers), and Total Print canceled altogether. Hopefully PRINT 09 will give some more positive signs, as we have IPEX coming up in 2010.
For those that are going to PRINT 09, look out for StudioRIP - a UK based company offering an independent software RIP solution that seems to work with just about anything, from an old imagesetter that needs new life, to a DI press (one RIP can drive several devices too). They are on stand 6655. Especially nice feature: its a small company where you can pick up the phone and talk to somebody! There's a novelty!!
