I'm using this second-hand material with a G4 (os 9).
The RIP 50 is correctly connected with the imagesetter. It recognizes the imagesetter at start-up. No problem with that. The switch of the RIP 50 is on the 6 channel, to work with TCP-IP and Ethertalk protocols. The RIP and the front-end are working on a small lan network.
I write the start-up procedure that I see on the RIP 50's display:
boot

But normally it should be displayed :
..0 (the RIP is ready)
or
_ _ 0 (no LI5 or/and LI2 connections)
or
. _ 0 (no LI5 connection)
or
E xx (error message)
I just have ...1 since 2 hours!!! And i don't see the RIP 50 on the MAC OS Selector on the G4.
Does anyone can help me please???
Thx
