problems with Linotype Linotronic 560 + RIP 50 and G4 os 9

I'm using this second-hand material with a G4 (os 9).
The RIP 50 is correctly connected with the imagesetter. It recognizes the imagesetter at start-up. No problem with that. The switch of the RIP 50 is on the 6 channel, to work with TCP-IP and Ethertalk protocols. The RIP and the front-end are working on a small lan network.
I write the start-up procedure that I see on the RIP 50's display:

But normally it should be displayed :
..0 (the RIP is ready)
or
_ _ 0 (no LI5 or/and LI2 connections)
or
. _ 0 (no LI5 connection)
or
E xx (error message)

I just have ...1 since 2 hours!!! And i don't see the RIP 50 on the MAC OS Selector on the G4.

Does anyone can help me please???

Thx

..1 is a waiting state as I remember. I don't know what it would be waiting for. at least it is not getting an error. it could be that you are not getting a heart beat signal. how are you pluging the network in. I used to have a little box that had a heart beat switch on it. is this a original 50 or a 50c
