Hello!
For those of you running rotary screen (aka silkscreen on narrow web flexo presses)--what glue do you use for attaching the screen to the end rings?
We run a pair of Gallus ECS340 presses, mostly flexo, with the occasional rotary screen. Lately, when we attach the welded screen to the end rings, our glue (Loctite 480, the black stuff) is thicker than usual and taking a long time to dry, in addition to being hard to squeeze out of the bottle. We store the glue in a refrigerator before using. We've been using this glue for years without this issue, so maybe we got a bad batch. We're saving the old bottles just in case.
We called our screen supplier who told us that their other customers use a Loctite 401. We also have some (really old) bottles of Loctite 435 from a previous life.
Any input is appreciated--thanks in advance!
