Sakurai 272 EP II shuts down intermittently

Help! We have a 1994 Sakurai 272 EP II that will shut down, for no apparent reason, once or twice a shift. It then needs to sit for about 5 minutes before it will restart. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

Help! We have a 1994 Sakurai 272 EP II that will shut down, for no apparent reason, once or twice a shift. It then needs to sit for about 5 minutes before it will restart. Has anyone else experienced something like this?

I had a similar situation with a 272 EII. Sakurai had no answer except to start replacing boards. Is it hot in your shop when it shuts down ? We had some success pointing a fan into the control box. Other than that. try resetting any connectors to the boards in the control box.

I've been told that this is could be symptomatic of cylinder bushes getting hot and seizing hence the cool down period.

What's the condition of the oil tanks, and also when was the oil last changed?
