on the storage drum is the fixed gripper solid with very little play. how about the top gripper it should be firm except for the spring loading. these can be made more stable by taking shims out from underneath the segments on the opposite side. not something I would do by my self, but you are welcome to give it a try. the fixed gripper is pinned at a factory setting. the moving gripper( spring loaded is fixed by a key way, but can be adjusted at each gripper. you also might check to see if you have urethane coated grippers. of course you can check to see where it is dropping sheets by running some through and hitting the e stop and inch to each exchange point. you can move the cams to adjust opening and closing times but the odds are you just need to adjust the grippers.
