We just received a SpinJet 5500 a couple of weeks ago and have yet to figure out how to get it working with MetaDimension 6.5 and I was hoping someone here had done it before and could provide us with that "missing link" we just haven't been able to figure out.
The people we bought the SpinJet from are telling us we just need to be able to output RTL files from the RIP and drop them in SpinFlow's hotfolders, but there is no RTL output module that I have found in Meta, only TIFF. (My understanding is that RTL is the way to go for speed and quality.)
I was told previously by a Heidelberg tech that we should be able to create the "printers" in Spinflow, and then connect to them from Meta and then add them to Color Proof Pro. We have multiple queues set up in SpinFlow and only one "printer" (the machine itself) set up so I am not sure what he meant by that statement or the word "printer".
