SwissQ Impala 4 and Caldera

Greetings everyone,
My company recently purchased an Impala 4 and Caldera 17 as my RIP. My company primarily runs Pantone numbers and is focused on keeping our Delta as close as possible.
We currently only have an X-Rite eXact to check our colors with. I've been playing with the main default profiles in the color management tab, but still just curious how everyone else goes about achieving better color consistency. I'm pushing for us to get an i1 Pro so I can start profiling which I think would help my goal. Any tips or advice would greatly be appreciated.
